Book Fair Success!

Thank you to all the students, staff, administration, and SCA school community who came out and supported our 12th annual Scholastic Book Fair during the last full week of November. Our Marvel themed fair raised just over $2000!  The SCA library will be able to obtain $900 worth of new books for our collection as a result. Thank you for your support!

The SCA library is changing it up this year! Stop by and see our new lay out - we have a cool new developing Makerspace area, reading corner, and work space for classes doing research.  Create with lego or building kits in the Makerspace. Maybe try your hand at knitting or origami.  Perhaps you have an artistic side- we have sketchpads, pencils, and books all ready to assist you in your creations. Into electronics? Our newest edition to the area includes some old laptop keyboards - dissect away and see if you can pick them apart and put them back together! The library has also begun planning for our annual Book Fair! Our next meeting is this Thursday during junior and senior lunch - please stop by if you are interested in helping out.  Currently we are awaiting the arrival of a new book order - hopefully these new titles will be here soon! Stay tuned for Makerspace and Book Fair updates as well as the arrival of some great new reads!

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a restful holiday season. In November the SCA library hosted another very successful book fair! With our theme "Reading Around the World" many daily contests were held in which many students participated.  Our grand total was just over $1700 dollars and we have received a credit to choose over $760 worth of books from Scholastic to put back into our library collection.  These books will be available in the library soon.  In the meantime be sure to stop by and check out our selection of new books currently available! Do you like drama, romance, history, mystery, graphic novels or DIY books - we have something for everyone so be sure to check in at the library soon!
